The Basic County Corrections course (BCC) is designed to provide knowledge\, skills\, and abilities to be successful as a new Texas county jailer. \nThere is a new course number. Any deliveries that begin on or after April 1\, 2026 must use the new content with the new course reporting number.\nThe course hours remain the same.\nContent from Interacting with Veterans in a Jail Setting (course #4902) is included. \nTraining providers must implement the new content by April 1\, 2026. \nFor More information click here

DESCRIPTION:Class will be from 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday\n\nDevice Requirement\nLaptops or tablets are needed for each student.  Download or print the manual.\nPre-requisite\n    Each student must hold a valid nationally recognized CPR certification. (Bring copy or email prior to 1st day)\n    DOLCE must be completed and emailed prior to the 1st day of class.\n    L-1 & L-2 must be received prior to 1st day and all required papers notarized prior to class.  No notary on site.\n    DOLCE & Agency Checklist \n    https://www.tcole.texas.gov/document/declaration-licensing-course-enrollment-eligibility_12.3.2019.pdf\n\nCourse Description\nThe Basic Telecommunicator Licensing Course is designed to provide the new telecommunicator with an understanding of the emergency communications environment\, and the core competencies in both emergency and non-emergency required by the commission for licensing.\nThe course consists of 80 hours of curriculum including ten objectives as set forth by the commission.\nEach student must maintain a minimum of 75% average for the course.  All those falling below those standards are at risk of being released from the program.\nOnce the course has been completed\, all curriculum passed\, the student will be eligible to sit for the Telecommunicator Licensing Exam.\n\nThere will be no classes held on 11/11/2026 due to a county observed Holiday\n\nTesting will be held Monday November 23\, 2026\n\nFor More information click here
