Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Rule 217.1 requires a training provider to have on file (on or before the first day of the licensing course) documented proof that the student meets all eligibility requirements for licensure. Training providers conducting licensing courses for either their own personnel or independent students (not hired by an agency) must have all required documents on file and readily available for review. Training providers conducting licensing courses for personnel from other Law Enforcement agencies may, with the advice and consent of their Advisory Board, either maintain copies of the required documents from the employing agency or use this declaration document as proof of compliance with Rule 217.1. -

Intoxilyzer Operator School Certification (June 25-27, 2024)
This course is for initial certification of an Intoxilyzer 9000 breath alcohol testing operator. The course includes information that the operator will need to properly operate the Intoxilyzer 9000 breath testing instrument. Course content includes scientific instrument theory, instructions for conducting breath alcohol tests and trouble shooting. A laboratory practical will also be utilized to demonstrate an operator’s proficiency in using the Intoxilyzer 9000 on both non-drinking and drinking (impaired) test subjects. On 12/06/2024 please report directly to the Rosenberg Police Range, located at 2749 Ave A, Rosenberg Texas (Dead end of Ave A, passed the water treatment facility). Bring your pistol (+100 rounds) and shotgun (+10 Slug & 10 Buckshot). In order to continue the course, you must qualify with 90% or better for each weapon. You will have ONLY 2 attempts for each weapon. ***NOTE: we no longer require you to qualify with a revolver. Once you pass the tryout, on 12/09/2024 you will report to the GGLEA Training Facility. The Classroom portion will be held M/T/W and Range on Th/Fri. Eyes and ear protection Pistol and 700 rounds 12 Guage Shotgun and 25 slug rounds and 25 buckshot rounds ***12/06/2024 at 0800 hours students MUST SHOOT AT 90% WITH THEIR PISTOL AND SHOTGUN ONLY.
