TCIC/TLETS Less Than Full Access #4801 – (November 30, 2022 08:00 am – 05:00 PM)

This course is for operators who perform TCIC/NCIC functions at any level lower than full access. Generally, this pertains to inquiry only. It also covers navigation of the databases that are connected to the TLETS system such as administrative messages, driver license, vehicle registration, and instructions regarding proper procedures for broadcasting in the state and nationwide. This course requires the TCIC/TLETS Operation Manual Parts 1 - 2. Operators must receive this training within the first six months of assignment or employment, regardless of whether these duties are performed on a full-time or part-time basis. In order to comply with federal requirements, operators must recertify within two years of certification or most recent recertification date. Please have your DPS user name, your agency will have submitted an user request form to DPS.

BPOC Qualifying Run – (November 30, 2022 09:00 AM – 11:00 AM)

The Academy now requires applicants to complete the MEDICAL RELEASE and the (L-2) LICENSEE MEDICAL CONDITION DECLARATION prior to the Qualification run.  If you have a doctors prescription for an Inhaler or an Epi Pen you must have it in your possession to be permitted to participate in the qualification run. Firearms Instructor Class #2222 – (December 2, & December 5th-9th, 2022)

Please DO NOT wear any RED clothing. Prior to the beginning of the course, Qualification/tryouts will be held on Friday 12/2/2022 at 0800 hours. On 12/2/2022 please report directly to the Rosenberg Police Range, located at 2749 Ave A, Rosenberg Texas (Dead end of Ave A, passed the water treatment facility). Bring your pistol (+100 rounds) and shotgun (+10 Slug & 10 Buckshot). In order to continue the course, you must qualify with 90% or better for each weapon. You will have ONLY 2 attempts for each weapon. ***NOTE: we no longer require you to qualify with a revolver, but you are still required to bring a revolver and ammo during the training portion of the course.***   On 12/5/2022 you will report to the GGLEA Training Facility. The Classroom portion will be held M/T/W and Range on Th/Fri.  Eyes and ear protection Revolver and 200 rounds Pistol and 500 rounds 12 Guage Shotgun and 50 slug rounds and 50 buckshot rounds ***12/2/2022 at 0800 hours students MUST SHOOT AT 90% WITH THEIR PISTOL AND SHOTGUN ONLY.
